Non-fluorinated, partially-fluorinated or perfluorinated aromatic, monomeric, oligomeric and polymeric sulfone- and/or phosphonic acids (and/or their derivatives) (I), where the partially- or perfluorinated groups of the polymers are present both in the main chain and in the side chain of the polymers and (I) are produced by nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr) with sulfur- and/or phosphorous nucleophiles, are claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a procedure for producing (I) via nucleophilic aromatic substitution with sulfur- and/or phosphorous nucleophiles, in which protic or dipolar-aprotic and aprotic solvent like water (only in the case of sulfonation), tetrahydrofuran, diethylether, dioxane, glyme, diglyme, triglyme, dimethylacetamide, dimethyl formamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, sulfolane, propylene carbonate, dimethylsulfoxide, acetonitrile, benzene, toluene and/or xylene, is used as solvent; and (2) compounds, preferably polymers and oligomers produced by the above method.
