The shield e.g. stator/rotor-sided heat shields (6), has a cooling gas discharge opening (8) provided with a circular cross-section at a flow direction (4) of a turbo machine (1) i.e. gas turbine, at opposite or same sided edge area of the shield. The discharge opening is communicatingly connected with a cooling gas channel, which runs in a blade carrier (5), and cooling gas is discharged through the discharge opening during operation of the turbo machine. The shield is detachably fastened at the blade carrier.
