The component (10) has an integrated temperature measuring sensor (17), such as thermo-unit, accommodated in a mounting groove in the component, where the groove is adapted to the sensor. A cover (14) closes the groove, and is connected with the component by a set of welding points, which are arranged at an edge of the cover. The groove and the cover are dimensioned relative to the sensor in such a manner that the cover presses the sensor in the groove under compressive prestressing against the component. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component.
