The method involves automatically storing a condition of a user session based on a user interaction during or after the user session. The storage of the condition is controlled by a condition management component of an application, where the condition is a last condition of the user session existing before the completion of the user session. The condition is stored in a server, where only one condition describing meta information of the user session is stored. A role-specific and/or person-specific authentication of a user is performed via the component. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a machine-readable program code for a client-server-information system for executing a method of managing a user session (2) a storage medium with a machine-readable program code for managing a user session.
