The device has hydraulic fluid that is drained out from the clutch compartment by a hydraulic line, and is supplied to the clutch compartment by another hydraulic line during availability of filling level of the clutch compartment that is bigger than the filling level threshold value. The hydraulic fluid is drained out from clutch compartment by latter hydraulic line and is supplied to the clutch compartment by former hydraulic line during availability of filling level of the clutch compartment that is smaller or equal to the filling level threshold value. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a device, which has a clutch compartment.
