The element (3) has suppression spaces (5) exhibiting suppression medium for realizing damping characteristics and arranged such that damping of relative rotation motion of a pinion shaft (1) and a side shaft (2) is achieved based on a load change reaction in a direction. The spaces are bonded together via a balance hole (4), via whose dimensioning damping characteristics of the damping element can be adjustable. A hydraulic system is provided as a closed system for voltage supply of suppression spaces. The hydraulic system comprises a system temperature dependent throttle made of bi-metal.
