The method involves recording reference images assigned to a preset position of components of a medicinal device during course of movement i.e. course of test, by using an image recording device (5) e.g. infra red camera. Actual images are recorded at a part of positions during the course of movement. A modification value is determined by direct comparison of the position of the reference images with the position of the actual images. The movement is terminated when a determined threshold value for the modification value exceeds. An independent claim is also included for a medicinal device comprising a control unit.
