The method involves receiving of multiple characteristic measured values for predetermined rotational positions of the rotating body and receiving of other multiple measured values for the predetermined rotational positions. The later measuring values are characterized for a rotational position influenced by disturbances. The former measured values each together with their assigned later measured values are archived in a memory unit and disturbances of the drive are detected from the former and later measured values archived in the memory unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling drives for rotating bodies.
