The device (200) has a crest (6) for changing the arrangement of parts (1) e.g. metallic plates, to each other to obtain a larger gap between the parts. An adhesive tape (2) is superimposed on the parts. The crest exhibits a cone-shaped design. Elements (3, 4) such as mechanical levers or pneumatic/hydraulic elements, are used for pressing the parts on the crest. A measurer (8) is used for cutting the adhesive tape. The elements are functionally displaceable independently from each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for belting of parts.
