The guide wire has a core casing and wire core (1), both are formed as stiffness determination element of the guide wire. The electrical functional element (7) is arranged within the core casing behind a distal end section of the guide wire and is electrically connected with the distal end section and the wire core. The electrically conductive distal end section is connected with the core casing. The electrical contact terminals are arranged as plug connecting terminal to act together with an electrical terminal plug.
