The quilt has an insulated filling provided between a top cloth and a bottom cloth, where the top cloth and bottom cloth are connected to each other at a closed covering by the filling. A quilting seam provided between two opposite border areas (3, 4) connects the top cloth and bottom cloth with each other. The quilting seam is divided into individual seams located on a baseline (6). The outer individual seam (1) lying adjacent to the baseline is longer than the inner individual seam (2). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a quilt.
