The method involves supplying oxygen-containing after-gasification agent at a speed in the range of 10 to 100 meters per second in a free area (3). The quantity of the agent is measured so that a raw gas exit temperature of after-gasification of a raw gas (10) withdrawn from a British gas/lurgi carburetor (1) is increased to preset values in the range of 800 degree celsius to the maximum of a process-relevant ash sinter temperature. The amount of oxygen supplied with the agent is in the range of 10 to 60 percent with respect to gasfication oxygen supplied to the carburetor.
