The device has an adapter (5) for connecting a heat exchanger (1) at a carrier structure of a motor vehicle, where the heat exchanger is arranged in a front area of the motor vehicle. A single or multipart formed side part (1a) is provided for the heat exchanger. The side part is firmly connected with the heat exchanger in a direction, which corresponds to a normal air blowing direction of the heat exchanger. The side part is predominantly formed against the air blowing direction opposite to the heat exchanger.
