The method involves producing of a two-phase material-mixture (5) by releasing carbon-dioxide-rich, nitrogen containing fluid phase by a throttle element. The two-phase material-mixture is separated in a separator (D2) into a nitrogen-rich, carbon dioxide containing gas phase (6) and the fluid phase. Fractional coldness is produced for a gas analyzis process by releasing the gas phase. A material flow (9) is heated at the gas phase against an application gas (1), and the fluid phase is released by another throttle element. The fluid phase is vaporized and heated against the application gas. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing a carbon dioxide product in a gas analysis process.
