The method involves retrieving defined data model from a storage of a measuring data acquisition system (7) or generating the data model in the acquisition system. The data model for processing an input of the acquisition system is conveyed as input data at a point of the acquistion system. The data model is processed by the acquisition system. An output data, which is output of the acquisition system, is tested for errors, using a test unit (9). The tested data is transmitted to a computer system (8), and an algorithm is used during testing the error by forming a check sum.
