The unit (1) has a retaining part (2) and fastening hooks (3, 4) that are projected over a foam body of an upholstery unit after foaming the retaining part. A seam wire fastened to an upholstery covering is hooked in the hook such that the hooks overlap the wire on a side pointing to the covering. The fastening unit is designed as point-symmetrical or mirror-symmetrical and is foamed in two fitting positions in the foam body. The wire is guided during assembling between the hooks along an insertion plane of the wire.
