The aggregate has grinding heads (1) including grinding tools (5) that are arranged on arms (4) and rotating about longitudinal axes (8) of the arms. The grinding tools are brought to be in contact with a surface of a workpiece during the rotation of the grinding wheels. The arms are aligned parallel to a conveying plane and rotate about rotational axes (3) with a rotation of the grinding head. The rotational axes are arranged in such a manner that grinding regions (7) formed by the rotation of the grinding heads overlap each other transverse to a conveying direction.
