The brake has a brake caliper (1) overlapping a brake disk, and two brake pads contacting the disk in a functional position and arranged in the caliper. Two fastening units attach the caliper to a stationary brake bracket (2), and an actuating device with one brake pad arranged over an adjustable spindle (9) is pressed against the disk. An adjusting unit (8) compensates a change of play due to wear between the pads and disk. A support device adjusted corresponding to the play alignment is provided at the caliper, and corresponds with a stationary component.
