The connection device (10) has a measuring element (2) for detection of battery power and a clamping device (1) e.g. hinge pin clip, for fastening the device (10) to a pole (8.1, 8.2) of a battery (8). The measuring element has a contact part (2.3) for contacting the battery pole. The clamping device surrounds the contact part of the measuring element in a concentric manner. The clamping device is undetachably connected with the measuring element, and the contact part is subjectable with a force that acts in a radial direction. The measuring element consists of copper, manganese and nickel. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a connection device.
