A reinforcing sheet metal (2) is brought into partial contact with a base sheet metal (1) and reshaped by impinging pressure via a liquid or gaseous reshaping medium for one of the metal sheets while creating a common interlocking link between sectional areas of the reinforcing sheet metal and the base sheet metal. In the direction of its longitudinal axis, the base sheet metal has a closed cross-section, into which a liquid or gaseous reshaping medium is introduced and impinged with pressure. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A device for producing an interlocking body from sheet-metal parts; (2) An interlocking body made from sheet-metal parts.
