The drive has a camshaft (5) rotatably supported in a housing of an internal-combustion engine, and a cam carrier (6, 7) axially movably guided to the cam shaft in a torque-proof manner. The cam carrier has a cam profile group with a set of different cam profiles, and an actuator with an engagement unit, which is brought in engagement with a curve connecting unit that is movable relative to the engagement unit. The actuator is movable together with the cam carrier to the camshaft, and the curve connecting unit is fixedly arranged in the housing of the internal-combustion engine.
