The hybrid vehicle (1) has an internal combustion engine (2) and an electric motor (3), whereby the load on the internal combustion engine can be increased by coupling the electric motor to generate an increased exhaust gas heat flow. Engine torque is tapped via the electric motor acting as a generator. An independent claim is also included for a hybrid vehicle.
