The method involves recording a video sequence of a person in an end device. The current picture of the video sequence is roughly parted into multiple ranges. The action parameter is transferred from the processing device over a further communications network to a target device. A virtual body model is actuated using the action parameters in the target device. INDPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) an avatar based video communication system for gesture-based real time control of a virtual body model (2) a movable end device for use in avatar based video communication system.
