The side-milling cutter tool (1) has a disk shaped base body (2) and multiple interchangeable cutting elements (4A,4B), particularly hard metal cutters are arranged on the boundary area (3) of the disk shaped base body. The cutting element has a passage drilling for receiving a fastener (5). The cutting elements are formed as cutting insert with a mirror symmetry plane running transverse to the radial direction. The cross sectional area of the cutting unit has taper within the area of the mirror symmetry plane.
