The method involves sending an ultrasonic energy beam through an object (16) using an arrangement of transducer elements (18A-18Z), where every transducer element is configured. Multiple echo signals are received, and every transducer element is configured to receive an ultrasonic energy beam with a received beam-forming time delay.
