The regulation device is switched between a constant line current operation and a constant line voltage operation. A detection circuit detects an analog input voltage (V-sense) depending on a line current. The line current flows over a connection line of a terminal (1). A analog to digital converter (13) transforms the generated analog differential voltage into a digital differential voltage value. A controller generates a control value depending on a filtered control deviation value sequence. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for regulating supply direct current voltage for a terminal (2) a computer program for the execution of the method (3) A storage medium for storing a computer program.
