The device has a unit for comparing real and imaginary part of the input signals with a periodic reference signals. Another unit is provided for determining time period when the reference signals are larger than the real or the imaginary part of the input signals. Third unit is provided for determining absolute value and a phase on the basis of the time period of the reference signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for conversion of a complex analog input signals into complex digital output signals (2) a computer program with a program code medium to carry out the method for conversion of a complex analog input signals into complex digital output signals (3) a computer program product with a program code medium, particularly stored on a machine-readable carrier to carry out the method for conversion of complex analog input signals into complex digital output signals.
