The console (1) has three screws (3) provided for the attachment of the console to a crankcase (2) of an internal combustion engine, where the screws are screwable in tapped blind holes of the crankcase. Coaxial, closely tolerated stepped boreholes for respective two headed bushes are arranged on open ends of the tapped blind holes, where the stepped boreholes are extendable into each of through holes of the console. The boreholes allow positioning of the console on the crankcase.
