The edge cutter has a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) counter roller and a single-sided or two-sided cutter roller made of steel to cut a narrow strip of a windscreen wiper. The cutter is inserted in continuous guiding slots (10) of a worn-out squeegee (11) of the wiper that is recut in a fixed adjusted cutting height along a lip in a right-angled and sharp edged manner. The counter roller has a guiding slot for insertion of the cutter roller to a depth of about 1.0 millimeters through a rotation, where the two rollers have an eccentricity of 0.5 millimeters to ensure a right angled cutting edge.
