The filter includes a number of separate filter elements (7-9, 12-14) in series, in the flow direction (L). They are individually-replaceable. The first filter unit includes particle- and/or gas filtration elements. In the series arrangement, the air or gas passes through one filter element into the next. At least two conical filter elements (8, 9) are oriented oppositely. Other filter elements (12-14) in series, have the same orientation.
