Reactive mass for binding a laminar substrate and a fabric, comprises a thermally initiable matrix forming material and an energy absorbing initiator, where the initiator is: a particular initiator that is soluble in the reactive mass and/or at least a reactive mass component; a particular initiator that is dispersed or dispersible by a maximal average molecular matrix forming material with an average molecular weight of less than 100000 g/mol in the reactive mass and/or at least a reactive mass component; or a particular initiator that is produced in situ. Reactive mass for binding a laminar substrate and a fabric, comprises a thermally initiable matrix forming material and an energy absorbing initiator, where the initiator: is a particular initiator that is soluble in the reactive mass and/or at least a reactive mass component; a particular initiator that is dispersed or dispersible by a maximal average molecular matrix forming material with an average molecular weight of less than 100000 g/mol in the reactive mass and/or at least a reactive mass component; or a particular initiator that is produced in situ, and the matrix formation is directly initiable by absorption of energy or is locally initiable by activating the starter components by the initiators, where the matrix formation is effected by an initial strength and/or a handling strength. An independent claim is included for a method for using the reactive mass, comprising introducing a thermally initiable matrix forming material and an energy absorbing initiator between the substrate and the fabric, where the energy for the reaction initiation and/or continuation is provided for at least a long time until a handling strength and/or initial strength is given.
