The switch has an actuator with permanent magnets (2) for generating magnetic field, which pre-stresses a folding armature (1). The strength of the magnetic field is selected, such that the armature is locked against a pivoting function. The magnets carry coils (6), where current (I) flows through the coils, and one of the coils weakens the magnetic field. The coils and the current are selected such that the armature strongly weakens the magnetic field during the flow of short-circuit current and the armature is released against pivoting during short-circuit.
