The cooking appliance has an outlet pipe (9) from the cooking chamber (15) to the heat accumulator (5), with a first separating device arranged in the outlet pipe for at least partial separation of a gaseous portion from liquid and solid portions of a medium which comes from the cooking chamber. This is accomplished by utilizing gravity force and centrifugal forces which act upon the liquid and solid portions, and also by utilizing the inertia of the liquid and solid portions and suction acting upon the gaseous portion.
