The method involves processing a value of an actual effective inking (12) by a control unit during unsteady phase of an inking system for determination of temporary third ink dosing quantity (14,16). The actual effective inking is unsteady. The value of the actual effective inking is a corrected value of a measured unsteady effective inking. The corrected value is an extrapolated value in the time processing of the actual effective inking in the future.
