The device has a pair of sets of wire-shaped electrical heating elements (110, 210), where one heating element of one set is supplied with current opposite to one heating element of another set. The opposite, current supplied heating elements of the sets are arranged closely in parallel or in a twisted manner with respect to each other. The arrangement of the sets and the current intensity in the heating elements are implemented in such a manner that the electromagnetic fields of the sets attenuate and/or compensate mutually. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating a device.
