The method involves subtracting spatial representations of an upper jaw and a lower jaw by a virtual sleeve of a splint mathematically, where the splint contains exact bite impressions of the lower jaw and the upper jaw in optimal occlusion. The virtual sleeve of the splint is placed between the lower jaw and the upper jaw. The splint is manufactured by a suitable process i.e. rapid prototyping, and is utilized in real operations.
