The device (1) for separating enamel particle in a basin (2), which contains lacquer waste water (4) to be prepared, comprises a rotary and a separating electrode immersed into the lacquer waste water, and a circulating pump connected to the basin with the help of pipings. The separating electrode is co-operated with a counter electrode immersed into the lacquer wastewater. The separating electrode is carried out as an uncoatable filter band. A current is produced throughout by the filter band into the lacquer wastewater.
