The substation has a transformer, control rooms (10,11) and a foundation trough. The foundation trough has a u-shaped casing part with a base part and lateral walls formed on the base part. Gradings (4) are formed in the base area of the walls. A casing front side is closed with a welded support plate in an oil-tight manner. Arcing fault gases are feed from the control rooms into the area between the gradings of the casing part.
