The device has a slide frame mounted on a base via an intermediate seal and a slide element positionable in the frame that can be sealed with respect to the frame by a slide element seal by applying pressure. The seals are in the form of a one-piece integral seal with a structure seal section and a slide element seal section. The seal holder is a pressure rail with protrusions that pass through the integral seal in the installed position to engage frame openings. An independent claim is also included an integral seal for a slide valve.
