The device has a cooling system (2) moved longitudinally to a press axis and placed at a counter support of a molding press during a pressing-/cooling process. The cooling system includes a displacement drive (3) i.e. hydraulic drive, designed in such a manner that the cooling system is displaced in a direction to a press front edge (1) in an opposite direction. The displacement drive is designed in such a manner that a longitudinal stroke is provided.
