The locknut (1) has a nut body and a clamping ring (4) that is pivotably attached to the nut body. An inner surface of the ring has circular keys (10a-10c), which extend over an entire circumference around a same angle. An outer surface of a neck (2) has circular profiles (20a-20c), which are attached to the circular keys and extend around an angle that is smaller than the angle of the circular keys. The circular keys and circular profiles have locking areas (11a-11c) and recesses (21a-21c, 22a-22c), which engage with each other with the clamping ring that is fixed on the nut body.
