The clamping device (1.1) has friction disk (11) whose inner conical friction surface (14) is arranged at the inner periphery and the outer conical friction surface (15) of the friction disk (11) is arranged at its outer periphery. The friction surfaces run over the complete axial thickness of the friction disk (11). An annular groove formed by one of the opposite friction surfaces (16,17) of the adjacent axial pressure plate (10), is correspondingly enlarged.
