Nitrogen oxide neutralization method for e.g. gas turbine engine, involves decomposing nitrogen oxide by electromagnetic alternating field with given oscillation frequency, and guiding exhaust gas of engine via channel or hollow space
The method involves producing nitrogen oxide during combustion of fuels in an internal combustion engine. An excitation unit (2) is arranged in a channel or a hollow space for producing an electromagnetic alternating field depending on carbon monoxide and/or nitrogen oxide concentrations and/or flow speed of an exhaust gas stream and/or electromagnetic permeability of the exhaust gas stream. The nitrogen oxide is decomposed by the electromagnetic alternating field with a given oscillation frequency. Exhaust gas of the combustion engine is guided through the channel or the hollow space.
