The apparatus has a signal module for processing a movement signal produced by an inertial sensor e.g. satellite sensor (12), where the inertial sensor has an accelerometer and a gyroscope. A configuration module is operatively coupled with the signal module. The configuration module configures the signal module to process the movement signal based on a specified parameter. The signal module includes a set of serially coupled processing modules for processing the movement signal. A memory is operatively coupled with the configuration module. An independent claim is also included for a method for configuring a sensor system.
