The connector has a movable guide, which is held at a temporary holding position before connecting female and male connector housings (101, 201). A front holder is inserted through an aperture in the female connector housing. An elastic arm (220) temporarily holds the guide at a temporary holding position, where the arm is provided in the male connector housing. A release projection (320) contacts with the arm to bend the arm towards a release position and is provided on a front holder. A space (324) is secured behind the release projection, where the arm is stowed in the space.
