The method involves tracing a movement of an object (1) and comparing with a reference movement. A trajectory (4) is built from a three dimensional movement of the object during the gradual tracing. The trajectory is segmented into semantically relevant sections (4.1 to 4.n). The trajectory and the relevant sections are compared with a reference trajectory (6) and with semantically relevant sections (6.1 to 6.n) of the reference trajectory during the progress.
