A connector for two high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) capillaries (1, 2) has a fitting (3) with a housing (4). The facing ends of the capillaries butt coaxially against each other between two cutting ring cones (23, 24) of the second cutting ring (22). The two hollow screws (12, 15) are tightened to a given torque. The first capillary (1) carries a sieve or filter (31) at its end in the second cutting ring.
