The method involves introducing an absorption process in such a way that the system configuration of the evaporation part of the power station is altered without absorption with the aim of reducing efficiency losses due to the absorption. It involves arranging at least two low pressure turbines (80, 81) in series and extracting the operating vapor of desorption from the higher pressure turbine. An independent claim is also included for a solvent for separating carbon dioxide from flue gases.
