An electrical assembly intercepts an incoming guided missile and causes it to explode prematurely or miss its target. The assembly is launched against an incoming missile. The assembly has two parallel rings with spokes to a central hub. Each ring has a coil winding, wound in the opposite direction to that in the other ring. The spokes have an aerodynamic propeller like cross section and generate thrust when spun. The interception unit is accelerated by a combination of the force developed by translatory motion and the rotational tip forces. The moving interception unit is stabilised by the resulting spin motion. The interaction of the primary and secondary coils induces a flow of current, generating heat to disrupt the local infrared spectrum.
