Supporting tracks known in prior art are mounted manually. The invention relates to a method and a device for mounting supporting tracks for vertical blinds, in which a traction carriage (17), a number of running carriages (12) corresponding to the length of the supporting tracks, an actuating drive unit (43) for the vertical blind, and a final deflecting element (62) are removed from respective magazines (13, 19, 42, 64) with the aid of respectively associated removing means. The traction carriage (17) and the running carriages (12) are aligned regarding the position of the lamella hook thereof by means of a running traction module (10, 11) and are grouped together in a track (24, 32) so as to form a running tractive element (21). Said running tractive element (21) is inserted into a profiled member (59) of the supporting track by means of an insertion module.
